Acacia is another great outdoor furniture option. Since it grows fast, it is less expensive than teak. Native to Hawaii and Africa, Acacia is only slightly less durable than teak, though the two hardwoods rival each other in beauty.
Cedar, prized for the radiating warmth of its hue, is a domestic option known for its durability. It is a smart choice for outdoor use, but bear in mind it does need to be refinished occasionally as it will wear down under the elements after a while.
